There was a global cyber-attack over the weekend which saw more than 200,000 computers in 150 countries being affected.

Microsoft - whose operating systems were targeted in the attack - said the incident should be a "wake-up call" for governments and companies.

Microsoft, enjoys the support of many local businesses, and regards Zimbabwe as an important market.

It is prudent for local companies to pay heed to the 'wake-up' call triggered by a global cyber attack which Europol chief Rob Wainwright  described as "unprecedented in its scale".
